The context

A forging manufacturer in France, producing rings and components whose sizing relies on in-house calculation software.

The problem

Calculating new components required long iterations. Improving the tool meant first understanding its domain logic before introducing anything into it.

Improvement of the ring calculation software and integration of predictive models.

The results

The ring calculation software was improved and extended with predictive models for calculating new components.
